You MUST eat here when visiting Monroe, LA! We were here for a baseball tournament and asked some local teams the best spots to eat. They all recommended Clawdaddy's! We made a reservation for a very large group. We blown away with how seamless of an experience it was with our group. The service was amazing and the FOOD WAS PHENOMENAL! The crawfish and oysters were the biggest hits, which wasn't surprising given their name. Highly recommend!
We ordered 2 salads to go. Got there at 4:25. They were not busy, hardly anyone there. Took almost an hour to get them. Tomatoes on it were old. I couldn't eat them. The shrimp on it were precooked ones you can buy frozen in the grocery store. The salad dressing was good. $36 for the 2 salads without a tip. I will never go back and order this again.
This was an unexpected surprise. It is a restaurant that looks like it is in a gas station, but this ain't no gas station food. Unbelievable Bloody Mary and chargrilled oysters. Fun atmosphere and the service was very good. This is not a tourist place, it is definitely a local's place. I now have a go to place when I go through Monroe.
We hit this place after a LONG day of softball and it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was fresh and delicious. The loaded Bloody Mary was top notch. Our waitress was friendly and took great care of our party of 12! She was so attentive. The entire restaurant was clean, warm and inviting. 10/10 would recommend!
We enjoyed a debris poorboy and jacked up chargrilled oysters. Delish! Our server, Caroline, was patient with our questions and did a great job!
Went here with a group of 9 with a reservation on a BUSY Friday night and we had a great time! Laurel was our server and she was seriously AMAZING! The place is pretty huge and they get the food out quickly. Crawfish were small (we know it's early) but well seasoned and super clean!! Most of the table got the sampler platter and I'd say it was a great pick even if it is on the expensive side ($49.95) the rest of the table got burgers and fried fish (it's cornmeal crusted but nicely seasoned!) I will say, even with some of the extra charges that come from running a restaurant these days (water is 50¢/cup, there's a non-cash adjustment, & we were a large party so 18% gratuity was already added) I can't wait to come back and try the Oysters Rockefeller and wings when they're back on the menu!
This is an amazing restaurant on Hwy 165 just north between Monroe and Sterlington. They pride themselves on the oysters and crawfish and the pride is earned! Only open for a little over a year, they are busy every night they're open. Items to try other than the oysters and crawfish: debris po-boy, smash burger, and the wings! You can't go wrong with anything you order. The staff is always on point and the owner, Luke is often hanging out greeting customers. They just recently started offering to-go containers of some great meals as well!
